Mission Statement:

The Town of Plattsburgh Parks & Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and promoting a sense of community within the Town. In partnership with our citizens, we provide inclusive recreation program, facilities and leisure services and strive to respond to the changing needs within our community.

Goals:

To achieve our mission, we will:

Provide recreational programs and services which will enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of all community residents.
Maintain existing facilities, building and grounds to the highest safety standards while seeking opportunities for future development.
Provide qualified and professional staff to develop and administer programs and events.
Continue to collaborate with existing partnerships and actively search for other local organizations that have common goals to share programs and services.

Offer comprehensive, quality recreational programming to participants of varying age levels, physical abilities and unique interests.

Tobacco-Free in the Parks & Beaches Policy

No person shall use any form of tobacco at or on any Town owned or operated recreational facility, including all areas of park grounds, such as playground areas, spectator areas, athletic fields, park buildings, and all beach areas.
